State leaders in Indiana are insisting on employers offering higher pay and benefits as a means of keeping childcare workers in the country which is a problem due to a shortage of work. The move comes after the closure of a care facility located in Bronzeville which struggled to retain employees.

Illinois Department of Labor also created an online tool to educate small businesses on lawful employment practices. Employers can search by keyword or browse through categories on this website; and connect to state agencies and other resources.



Illinois Business Development Authority (IBDA) is taking steps to make people aware of Illinois tax incentives to business expansion. The IBDA hosted the IBDA's webinar this week on the subject. The webinar was recorded. It will then appear on the website.
