It comes with a 220 degree Lidar which, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 mins when mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery in mid-clean.

It's extremely quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, and hallways in a single sweep. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to remove dirt, pet hair, and even droppings easily. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets and the double side brushes help to clean debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop rotates at a high rate and is pushed down with 2.2lbs of force, easily cleaning up dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms stick out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to get into tight corners and along baseboards. The same front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mop I've tried. It doesn't create the same amount of noise when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install, and it works well. However when you purchase this vacuum solely to mop you must pay attention to this.

The X1 Omni is most notable for its enormous dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks of 4 liters. It also houses a 2.5-liter dust bin as well as a 2.5 milliliter dust bin.

The base has several control buttons that let you manually start a cleaning task, recall the robot mop or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a great feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the X1 Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path and eliminate them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni can occasionally get caught up in obstacles, like an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it happened, especially since the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert on its app.

The X1 Omni is unable to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You will need to manually swap between the two modes, which isn't too bad aside from the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use which could lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed its sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxy units.
