Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

Item upgrade, commonly called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment provides an increase in the linearity of any stat.

Players can recycle six items at once to gauge each item's upgraded component. The cost of recycling items increases depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an item upgrade is a way to increase the stats of your weapons and armor. This can be achieved by a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or by increasing the rarity or mark level. A lot of items can be reforged in order to increase their value.

You can purchase upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available in the world as well as rewards for missions. They can also be crafted by players. Glyphs

Each glyph has a range of values that it could enhance a stat in the form of an item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This is the maximum value that a glyph could improve a stat by but not the amount it actually improves the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the item upgrading you're enchanting it to.

The majority of upgrade components that are added to items cannot be removed or replaced without removing them except for legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a glyph or rune you don't want to use but it hasn't been incorporated to the gear yet, you can transfer the item to another piece by selecting the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create an Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

You can take out the glyph using the Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item will be destroyed in which it is installed however, you can salvage the upgraded item by using the glyph and its shards, so this should not be considered a loss.
